Ryan Blaney won the NASCAR Coke Zero 400 race on Aug. 23 at Daytona. Here are some winners and losers from the race.

Bowman wrecked out in a multi-car pileup on Lap 27, one which claimed the cars of Bubba Wallace, Austin Cindric and Ricky Stenhouse Jr., among others. He struck the outside wall near the frontstretch tri-oval, came to a halt along the backstretch, and was towed into the garage area. The damage proved to great to repair, and Bowman finished 36th.

Ryan Blaney’s two-lap victory run was exactly the result that Alex Bowman needed to make the playoffs. Needless to say, the Hendrick Motorsports driver was thankful.
