The former Borussia Dortmund winger could retain the only shirt number he has ever worn during his club career.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of £48.5million with a potential £3.5m in add-ons. The 20-year-old has signed a seven-year contract at Stamford Bridge through to 2032, after The Athletic reported that the clubs had reached an agreement in principle last week.

Gittens made 32 appearances in the Bundesliga in 2024-25, scoring eight goals – double the total he managed across his first three campaigns in Germany
