Gordon High School wins state title after tornado destroys football field

Just over a month later, on Dec. 17, the Longhorns hoisted a trophy at AT&T Stadium in Arlington after defeating Rankin High School, 69-22, in the Class 1A Six-Man Division I state championship game. While this marked the Longhorns' third-straight state title, this one meant more for the small town just 60 miles west of Fort Worth.
