The door of a synagogue in the Australian city of Melbourne has been set on fire. About 20 people had gathered in the building on Friday evening at the start of the Jewish Sabbath when a man poured a flammable liquid on the entrance door of the building and set it alight,

Local leaders denounced the episodes, which both took place on Friday evening: arson at a synagogue and a disturbance at an Israeli eatery.

While police say no direct link between the three incidents has been established yet, they are not ruling out the possibility of coordination
