The director spoke to Business Insider about the hourslong phone calls with Steven Spielberg and why he'll never make another "Star Wars" movie.

Although Spielberg didn't direct the new Jurassic film, he still worked closely with the screenwriter. After the 1993 original, the duo reunited for the 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, 2005's War of the Worlds, and 2008's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. They have since reunited for another film.
