Shubman Gill etched his name in history by scoring a magnificent double century against England at Edgbaston, becoming only the third Indian to achieve this feat in England and the first Indian captain to do so on English soil.

Shubman Gill broke Virat Kohli's record for the highest individual score by an Indian captain in Tests. Gill has broken multiple records en route to his 250 against England.

Anderson Trophy and scored his second hundred of the series. Gill, who scored 147 in the first Test and missed out on a 150, completed the task at Edgbaston. He, along with Ravindra Jadeja, added an unbeaten century partnership to put India in complete control of the game at 387-5 in the first innings.
