A man who confronted Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., at a Minneapolis town hall on Tuesday, and tried to spray her with a substance, was arrested and placed in police custody.

President Trump has spent years demonizing and dehumanizing the Somali-born Democrat from Minnesota, fueling escalating threats against her.

At the town hall, Omar called for ICE to be "abolished" and said Department of Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem should "resign or face impeachment."
