NBA Hall of Famer Paul Pierce was found 'asleep at the wheel' by California Highway Patrol officers late Tuesday, Oct. 7 and was arrested on suspicion of a DUI.

CHP officers said after reopening lanes following an unrelated crash, they saw Pierce asleep at the wheel in a Range Rover and "noticed signs of alcohol impairment."

Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Pierce was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol in Los Angeles late Tuesday evening, per the California Highway Patrol (h/t TMZ Sports as well as Dennis Broad and Jonathan Lloyd of NBC4 Los Angeles).

He fell asleep while traffic was stopped on a Los Angeles freeway, and when the Highway Patrol woke him they made the arrest.

A 69-year-old Seaside man was arrested for allegedly selling drugs from his van after a tip led police to investigate his mobile drug-dealing activities.
