"American Idol" judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood are returning for the hit music competition series' 24th season, its ninth season on ABC and Hulu. The trio shared the announcement in a YouTube video Monday.

On Sept. 20, 2018, Underwood received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She is the proud owner of star No. 2,646. Those who were a part of her unveiling ceremony included American Idol judge Simon Cowell and fellow country singer Brad Paisley. Her husband Mike Fisher and son Isaiah were in attendance to celebrate the big moment.

American Idol is keeping its judging panel intact, with Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood all back for Season 9 on ABC — the music competition series’ 24th overall — which will premiere on the Disney network in January.
