The SpaceX Crew-10 launch attempt was scrubbed Wednesday from Kennedy Space Center meaning two Boeing Starliner astronauts waiting to come home will have to wait some more.

Topline SpaceX canceled a ship launch Wednesday that is part of a mission to bring back two astronauts who have been on the International Space Station for nine months after the Boeing spacecraft they arrived in was deemed unsafe over helium leaks and thruster issues.

The Crew-10 mission will send four astronauts to the space station to take over for Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams’ crew, finally allowing their return home.

NASA and SpaceX are now waiting until Friday to try and send the Crew-10 team to the international space station.

NASA and SpaceX on Wednesday night scrubbed the Falcon 9 launch of a flight intended to retrieve from the International Space Station astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who have spent nine months in orbit.

It’s launch day for four astronauts who will soon be on their way to the International Space Station. The otherwise routine flight will be closely watched because it kicks off a series of events culminating in NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore’s long-awaited trip back to Earth.

NASA and SpaceX are proceeding with plans to launch the space agency's Crew-10 mission to the International Space Station on Friday, March 14 at 7:03 p.m. EDT (2303 GMT), the U.S. agency said in a blog post on Thursday.
