The Chargers beat the Chiefs 16-13 on Sunday, eliminating whatever small percentage of playoff hopes they had remaining. Mahomes left the game in the fourth quarter with a left knee injury and was helped back to the locker room — right as backup Gardner Minshew threw an interception to seal the game and, in turn, their season.

The Kansas City Chiefs began the second quarter facing a third down and three in the red zone. Travis Kelce would catch the ball just shy of the first down marker to bring up a fourth down, so they would go for it. They would pick it up easily down to the Denver Broncos six yard line for a first and goal.
