CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Powerball jackpot stands at an estimated $1.6 billion for the Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, drawing, making it the fourth largest in the lottery’s history. The jackpot has an estimated cash value of $735.3 million before taxes. It’s the fifth largest jackpot in the history of any lottery.

Nobody hit the jackpot, which means the top prize now jumps to $1.7 billion for the next drawing on Christmas Eve.

An Ohio local was given a surprise that she never asked for or expected. It began with a typical Powerball ticket purchase. The outcome of her purchase was much more than she bargained for. The Ohio Lottery stated that she won a six-figure prize from the December 13 drawing.
