On Dec. 28, 2025, Ottawa Senators starting goaltender Linus Ullmark would officially begin a leave of absence. The reason, at the time, was unclear. The team said it was for personal reasons, but that was it.

Linus Ullmark has been on a leave of absence since the end of December, and now has broken his silence about the situation.
