Deion Sanders is not just one of the most iconic dual-sport athletes and a great coach who turned the Colorado Buffaloes upside down in just two years, but he’s also a great father who never shies away from endorsing his kids.

Deion Sanders turned down interest from the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL to remain the Colorado Buffaloes head coach. But when he returns to action in 2025, he will be without his son Shedeur Sanders, who is set to make the jump to the NFL as part of the 2025 draft class.

Sanders is widely expected to be one of the first two quarterbacks off the board, and conditions are ripe for a leverage play: demand at the position is sky-high, while supply is exceedingly low after last year's haul of six quarterbacks in the first round.

Deion has coached Shedeur since he was in high school, where Deion worked as the offensive coordinator. Deion went on to coach his son in college at Jackson State, and then Colorado. With Shedeur and his brother Shilo now leaving for the NFL, Deion will not be around his sons as much as before.

Deion Sanders continues to double down on his demands of NFL teams that might be interested in drafting his son Shedeur. In an appearance on “The Dan Patrick Show” Friday, Sanders admitted that there were certain teams he had reservations about when it came to them drafting his son.

Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders is one of the top prospects heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. He's arguably the top quarterback available in the draft and is expected to be drafted in the top five of the first round.
