I installed Windows XP on an SCSI drive. The system boots fine when the XP disc is in the CD, but not when I remove it I get the old "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter" message.
If there are multiple drives installed in the computer, then it can create confusion as to which drive has a Bootloader. This scenario usually happens when Master Boot Record is on the wrong drive.
