Denny Hamlin was in the lead when racing was halted after 386 laps. He was clinging to a slim lead over Christopher Bell as the two went back and forth ever since a restart on Lap 343. With the weather growing ominous, Bell kept trying to pass Hamlin, who managed to hold him off.

The AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 NASCAR Cup Series race on July 20 at Dover Motor Speedway is under a weather delay for rain after 386 of 400 laps. Denny Hamlin is the leader as the field was stopped under a red flag due to rain with a scattered storm cell working across the Dover area.

Both races were won by Shane van Gisbergen – his third victory on a non-oval circuit this season. The rest of the paddock will welcome the more familiar grind of ovals, although just six active drivers have won at Dover,

The AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 was delayed by a fast-moving storm cell on Sunday, but the rain cleared out of Dover just as soon as it started up. It was heavy enough, however, to soak the track, so the race had to enter an extended delay while the track dried.
