A 2.9-magnitude earthquake struck near Bremerton, Washington on Thursday. The PNSN initially reported a magnitude of 3.1, but it was downgraded after review. As of 7:36 a.m., 27 people in the Puget Sound region reported feeling the earthquake.

Kitsap County residents might have been awoken by the ground shaking on Thursday morning, as a 3.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Bremerton. The earthquake struck at 5:16 a.m. Thursday, with an epicenter just west of the Illahee Preserve.

A 2.8-magnitude earthquake shook the western part of Washington on Thursday, Feb. 27, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The 16-mile deep quake hit at 5:16 a.m. and happened in Tracyton, according to the USGS. More than 30 people from as far away as North Bend and Bremerton reported feeling the tremor to the agency.
