Iran is assessing the damage and lashing out over the American and Israeli airstrikes that damaged its nuclear sites.

The images have been released during a debate over the extent of the damage from the U.S. airstrikes on the facility, which followed days of Israeli strikes on the country.

The U.S. bombing of Iran's key Fordow nuclear site has "seriously and heavily damaged" the facility, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in an interview with CBS News.

The U.S. and Iran had been set for a fifth round of nuclear talks when Israeli launched strikes on Iranian nuclear and military sites a day after the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board passed a resolution declaring Iran in violation of its nuclear obligations.

President Donald Trump said early Monday he is "not offering Iran anything" despite suggesting new nuclear talks with Tehran.
