Sajid and Naveed Akram are suspected of killing at least 15 people and injuring dozens during a Hanukkah gathering in Australia.

The surviving suspect in the terror attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, was formally charged Wednesday with 15 counts of murder and committing a terrorist act. Naveed Akram, 24, woke up from a coma but remained hospitalized under police guard for his first court hearing. He did not enter a plea, and his case was paused until April.

One of the men allegedly involved in Sunday's terrorist attack at the famous Bondi Beach in Australia has been tentatively identified by investigators as Naveed Akram.

Before Sajid Akram was granted a gun licence, the domestic intelligence agency ASIO had warned NSW Police that his son, Naveed Akram, had been associating with Islamic extremists.

The 24-year-old, along with his father Sajid Akram, shot dead 15 people and injured at least 40 others in an attack at Bondi Beach.

CCTV footage shows Sajid and Naveed walking in Campsie at about 5.15pm before driving to Bondi Beach, where the shooting happened at 6.47pm. It is thought that Sajid was shot dead by police at the scene of the attack, while Naveed suffered critical injuries and was taken to hospital under police guard.
