How to save a new Google Docs copy in Google Docs If you're working on Google Docs on your web browser, you can save a new copy of the document you're working on.
Google Docs is an incredibly convenient word processor, and a number of forward thinking tools mean you may be able to save docs you mistakenly deleted.
To keep the Google Docs format, go to ‘File’ in the upper menu, select ‘Save as Google Docs’. This will create a copy of the document in Google Docs format.
