A professional lock picker and reserve police officer from Indiana has been indicted on a felony grand larceny charge for vandalism of the Love Locket at Container Park.

Each side of the key is unique, such that within the lock are four different racks of levers, each manipulated by a different part of the key — making it quadruply difficult to pick.

In light of the Oakland brouhaha, the organization — which is hosting the Saturday class — has agreed not to offer the lock-pick kits normally sold at workshops and competitions.
