If the mass airflow sensor does not glow red within a couple of minutes of the engine being shut off check to see if the relays are applying voltage to the mass air flow sensor.

GM has issued a recall for certain units of the Chevy Low Cab Forward 3500 and 4500 models due to an issue with the mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
