You can find the BitLocker Recovery Key for your BitLocker Encrypted Volume by saving it locally, using Microsoft Account or Azure Active Directory Account.

BitLocker recovery key is a full-disk encryption feature in Microsoft Windows Pro and Enterprise operating systems. It is a unique 48-digit numerical password that can lock or unlock the data.

Microsoft also just release a new Bitlocker Admin tool through MDOP 2011 R2, where the keys are now in a SQL database. Recovery through a webpage so Helpdesk doesn't need a AD MMC.

Microsoft has confirmed that some Windows 10 and Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 systems will boot into BitLocker recovery after installing the May 2025 security updates.
