Two people have been found dead at a home in Los Angeles identified by authorities as the residence of director and actor Rob Reiner, authorities say.

Rob Reiner's Hollywood friends Billy Crystal and Larry David are said to have been emotional as they left the Brentwood home of the iconic filmmaker that has become a crime scene.

A person of interest has been detained in connection with a US shooting at Brown University that left two people dead, police said.

A shooting in the engineering building at Brown University on Rhode Island has left at least two people dead and eight injured.

It is currently unclear if anyone has been injured, the student newspaper, the Brown Daily Herald, said videos depicted “several individuals lying on the ground near the Sciences Library.”
