Tennessee Republican Matt Van Epps this week won a special U.S. House election for a conservative district that includes part of Nashville.

If ever there was a “bad win” in politics, it was Republicans’ victory in last Tuesday’s special House election in Tennessee’s 7th district. Indeed, Republican Matt Van Epps beat Democrat Aftyn Behn by only 9 points in a district President Trump won by 22 points one year ago.
