A radical overhaul of stamp duty and council tax rules that could hammer Londoners hardest is reportedly being considered by Chancellor Rachel Reeves. The Treasury is mulling plans to raise money from a tax on the sale of homes worth more than £500,000, it has been suggested.

British actor Terence Stamp, who played the baddie General Zod opposite Christopher Reeve in "Superman" and "Superman II," has died at 87.

Stamp received an Oscar nomination for 1962’s Billy Budd. Known primarily for his roles as villains, he played General Zod in 1978’s Superman and 1980’s Superman II, and appeared in Wall Street, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and The Haunted Mansion, to name a few.
