Popular corridor trails closed over a month ago because of the Dragon Bravo Fire are now open to hikers again.

As the Dragon Bravo Fire approached containment, Grand Canyon National Park unveiled plans to reopen a beloved hotel and hiking trails.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the city of New Albany have broken ground on the Monon South Freedom Trail.

Park officials say conditions have improved and new air quality monitors have been installed at popular hiking locations, such as Phantom Ranch and Havasupai Gardens.
