Mastodon paid tribute to co-founder and former guitarist Brent Hinds at their first performance following his death on Wednesday.

Mastodon is honoring the memory of their late bandmate and co-founder Brent Hinds. On Friday (Aug. 22), the heavy metal band paid tribute to the guitarist during a performance at the Alaska State Fair, part of the ConocoPhillips Alaska Concert Series at the Borealis Theatre in Palmer, Alaska.

Mastodon saluted late member Brent Hinds at the end of its first show ever in Alaska last night (Aug. 22), a day after the guitarist, who left the band in March, was killed in an Atlanta motorcycle accident. See fan-shot footage from the Alaska State Fair performance below.
