WOODLAND HILLS, Ca. For four seasons, the Seattle Seahawks employed Colby Parkinson and for four seasons, he was sparsely used. Now in his second year with the Los Angeles Rams, Parkinson has cemented himself as the long-term answer to the tight end position.
Parkinson has assumed the starting tight end role vacated by the injured Tyler Higbee and excelled despite a solid duo of tight ends behind him in Davis Allen and rookie Terrance Ferguson. He's become a go-to red zone threat for Matthew Stafford and could see even more work in that area of the field with Davante Adams nursing a hamstring injury.
Parkinson, who joined the Rams last year as a run blocker, is flourishing, scoring six touchdowns in the past six games, including two in Sunday’s victory over the Lions.
