The Senate confirmed Howard Lutnick on Tuesday to serve as President Donald Trump ’s secretary of commerce.

Lutnick is the biggest donor to his alma mater, Haverford College, and CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, a financial services firm.

The wealthy financier will manage the President’s aggressive plans to impose import taxes on U.S. trading partners.
