What is the Rams' clearest path back to an NFC West title and No. 1 seed?
If the Rams finish 2-0, the Seahawks finish 1-1, and the 49ers and Bears both finish 2-1, no one can catch the Rams for the NFC West title or the No. 1 seed. It’s not likely, but it’s also nowhere near impossible.
The NFC West is the NFL's best division going into Week 16 of the 2025 NFL season. The Rams (11-3), Seahawks (11-3) and 49ers (10-4) all would be in the playoffs and those records suggest anything can happen in the division race over the final three weeks.
Darnold did just that, hitting a wide-open Eric Saubert for the 2-point conversion, and the Seahawks overcame a 16-point fourth-quarter deficit to stun the Rams 38-37 on Thursday night for a one-game lead in the NFC West.
It wasn't just the Seahawks celebrating Thursday's night win. The 49ers now have a path to the NFC West title, too.
The Seattle Seahawks won't have left tackle Charles Cross for multiple weeks due to injury, and that's bad news for the Seahawks' offense and, in turn, their hopes of winning the NFC West and No. 1 seed in the conference.
