SEPTA is revealing the new schedules that will take effect if state transit funding is not secured by August 14.
SEPTA says they have until Aug. 14 for state lawmakers to approve funding or else they will be forced to implement service cuts that amount to a 20% overall reduction in services.
The mass transit agency said it needs 10 days to implement the cuts to 3,000 bus stops in the region due to a budget shortfall.
The Federal Transit Administration has started an investigation after a June 5, 2025, fire at a SEPTA bus graveyard in Philly's Nicetown section saw at least 40 decommissioned busses damaged.
