Great news! The Senate just unanimously passed my Alaska's Right To Ivory Sales and Tradition (ARTIST) Act. This legislation protects Alaska Native artisans who lawfully create and sell beautiful works of art made from marine mammal materials—like walrus ivory—from well-intentioned but overly broad state bans that were originally aimed at stopping the illegal trade in elephant ivory.
