In March 2001, German man Armin Meiwes posted an online advertisement seeking a “young, well-built man who wanted to be eaten.” A willing participant, Bernd Brandes, responded, and they met at Meiwes’ isolated farmhouse in Rotenburg. On the night of March 9, 2001, Brandes took sleeping pills and schnapps before consensually allowing Meiwes to amputate his p@nis. They attempted to cook and eat it together, but the dish was unsuccessful. Brandes, heavily bleeding and slipping in and out of conscio
