Blue Magic is an American R&B and soul group that was popular in Philadelphia in the 1970s. The band was founded in 1972 by Ted Mills, Vernon Sawyer, Wendell Sawyer, Keith Beaton, and Richard Pratt. Their first four albums were released between 1973 and 1976, and a dozen of their singles made it onto Billboard's R&B chart, including the number one hit "Sideshow".
