In late February, Forever Marilyn, a 26’ tall, 34,300 lbs. statue in Palm Springs, CA, was relocated less than 100 feet, at a cost of nearly half a million dollars. The issue? Technically, it was illegally blocking a city street, Museum Way. This street was originally created to directly connect the Palm Springs Art Museum to the downtown district.
