What should you do if you find a newborn fawn in your yard?

When someone brings you a limp, seizing fawn and you realize they waited too long to get help. I was crying inside while trying to be kind and back away, knowing the fawn was starting to pass in my arms. This year's fawn season will be here before you know it. If you find an orphaned or injured fawn, please get help right away. They are fragile, and time matters....💔 Link below for ways to help Magnolia. ❤️ BB came here as a newborn after being hit by a car. He had severe head trauma which caused blindness. He has recovered very well but he is partially blind and his head is a little wonky. I love my sweet goofy boy. ❤️ The knocking in the background is my husband working on a new fence. I was staying close to the fawns so they do not spook from the noise. I will share his progress later. We have been working hard around here, preparing for our Christmas Market this Saturday. Hope to see you her

These twin fawns were found in the woods, they had been crying until they we just too weak to cry anymore. They brought them to me as quickly as the could but they were over an hour away. One fawn is struggling to stay alive and the other extremely weak. Mom was most likely hit by a car.💔 Magnolia Fawn Rescue took in 4 fawn today which puts us at 22 orphaned or injured fawns. Donations are so very appreciated and needed, thank you.❤️ Paypal.me/magnoliafawnrescue Venmo: @magnoliafawnrescue Mail:

It’s Fawn Season 🦌 This orphaned fawn was brought in after her mother was confirmed deceased…one of the rare cases where intervention is needed. But most fawns found alone are not abandoned — they’re just waiting for mom to return. If a fawn is curled up on the ground and quiet, it is likely just waiting for mom. If a fawn is standing, trying to find food on its own, crying, or covered in feces, it most likely needs help. 📍Please note: Wildlife Care Association does not typically take in fawns

The fawn looked okay, but we stayed at a distance until dark just to see if the mother would return and she did. Just before this fawn rescue call, I got another call about a fawn that had been walking around crying all day, they said he had moved under the porch and flies were around it. These are all signs that a fawn has been orphaned, so I told the finder to bring the fawn to me. Unfortunately, the fawn had already passed. Please call a rehabber right away if you find a fawn. Whitetail Facts: 16 Things to Know About Fawns

If you’ve ever encountered a fawn curled up in your yard, you may have wondered if it needed help, but the good news is that it was likely doing exactly what it should be. White-tailed deer fawns are typically born anytime between now and late June. For the first 2-3 weeks of their life, fawns are not strong enough to follow their mother and will lie very still to reduce the chance of being found. To keep attention away from the fawn, the mother will stay away most of the day, visiting the fawn

PLEASE SHARE THIS IMPORTANT INFO! Fawn calls have begun, and there is still a major lack of awareness about what to do when you find a fawn in your yard. Does will typically leave babies alone in tall grasses or next to your front porch or maybe even ON your porch while they graze, so if you find a fawn all alone, this is totally normal and not cause for concern. You should not move the fawn, put it in a box, feed it, or interfere in any other way unless you see these things: *Flies or ants on t

This kind couple transported Dancer here for an older couple they know. The older couple rescued her as a newborn fawn. They first left her overnight, hoping for the mother to return but she never did. She was raised in their home and very imprinted so I did not even try to put her with the fawns we are releasing and I put her in right away with the non-releasable deer. *PSA* I usually take in several 'pet' deer during January and February. But my husband is having surgery soon and recovering du
