Ms. Gellar on Instagram: "After the winter storms, school has felt a little heavier—extra exhausting. From testing to report cards to ensuring our students continue to grow and reach their goals, many of us have felt the weight of it all. I’ve felt a tug at my heart to pause and rest in His love. To all the teachers here: remember that we were called to this profession. We are living out a mission of love, planting seeds of unwavering kindness and care each day, even when it feels hard. I tried it with my first graders and it was the sweetest example of how kids naturally show care and curiosity 💗 I just love them so much! #thebirdtheory #fypシ #teachersofinstagram #firstgradeteacher #teacherinspo"

Ms. Gellar on Instagram: "This is my first year using iReady in class, and my students have loved tracking their progress with our whole-group iReady tracker! Every time a student scores 100% on an iReady quiz, they get to color in a square on our chart. Once the entire picture is filled, we earn a class reward! 🎉 Plus, these trackers are so much fun to make!🧡🦃 #teachersofinstagram iReady #fypシ #teacherideas #teacherlife"

Life (and teaching) is so much better when you’re dancing! 💃🏼❤️🫶🏼 Something my team and I hold onto dearly is the reminder that “it’s not that serious.” Teaching can feel heavy and overwhelming at times. The expectations and never-ending to-do list can really weigh you down. As we step into this new year, remind yourself: it’s not that serious. And then maybe… dance a little too. ✨ #teachingjourney #teachersoftiktok #dancingthroughlife #CapCut #fyp

When my non-teacher friends ask why I never text back… 😂📱 I promise I love you, I’m just busy doing a job I love with 20-something little humans who need approximately 847 things from me at all times. 😂🍎 When I’m at work, I’m ALL in — teaching, laughing, learning, tying shoes, giving hugs, answering 500 questions… and apparently not sleeping, using the restroom, or checking my phone. 😂❤️ Wouldn’t trade the chaos for anything. 🥹✨ #TeacherLife #TeacherTok #FirstGradeTeacher #TeacherHumor #fy

Looking for a meaningful and engaging Martin Luther King Jr. activity for your students? This is one of my favorite lessons to do each year, and you can find the egg activity in my TPT linked in my bio! Today we talked about the upcoming holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We discussed the impact Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had on our world and his dream that people are treated equally and with kindness.
