Late Saturday morning, the FDNY responded to a 5-alarm fire at 1740 East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx. The fire originated in a one-story auto body shop and extended to two nearby dwellings. Four Firefighters sustained minor injuries, and approximately sixteen residents were displaced. “When our units arrived, we had heavy fire throughout the motor vehicle repair shop. We attempted to enter and extinguish the fire, but there was a significant amount of fire and concerns about structural stability
