Between 1984 and 1985, Los Angeles and San Francisco were terrorized by Richard Ramirez, later dubbed the “Night Stalker.” Ramirez, a 25-year-old drifter with a history of drug use and violent influences, broke into homes at night, s*xually assaulting and murdering his victims, and often leaving satanic symbols at the crime scenes.
